What's Happening This Fall?
Soccer: There is still time to sign up for soccer. You can print off a registration or you can pick one up at one of our bulletin boards at the Elementary School. The season starts August 30th and the times are as follows.
3-4 Grade: 9:00-10:00
1-2 Grade: 10:00-11:00
Pre K - K : 11:00-12:00
Itty Bitty: 10:00-11:00
Flag Football for Adults: This will be pickup Flag Football on Thursday nights from 6-7:30. Must be atleast 16 to play and we ask that you make a $1 donation when you play. For more Details call 868-2493. Planning on Thursday September 4, 2008.
1st Annual Swanton Rec Run:
5K Race Sunday September 14, 20089: 00 am
All are welcome!
Please join us in our 1st 5K to support our youth programs! Run, walk, or ride in a stroller, anyone can participate! Register today so that you can guarantee a shirt!
Start: Route 7 South, Hamlen's Garden Center, Swanton VT
Course: A Fast, mostly flat , 5K (3.1 miles) course with scenic views of Missisquoi River. Mile markers, interval times, Sherriff following runners, and water stations.
Finish: We finsh at the Historical Railroad Depot along the river.
Classes: This is an amateur race open to everyone. Seperate classes for male and female in the following age groups: Under 18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60- and over.
Pre Registration: Forms are available at Swanton Recreation, Swanton Elementary, Kevin Smith's Sports Connection, Swanton Village Complex, and the Swanton Town Clerks Office. $25.00 includes T-shirt and race (while supllies last)
Race Day Registration: 7:30-8:45am at the start location.
Prizes will be awarded for the top 3 winners in each category!
