The Swanton Recreation Commission is a non-profit organization whose sole purpose is to provide area youth with a broad range of enrichment through existing programs and with the implementation of new programs.  Our goal is to provide the children and residents of Swanton with athletic programs and activities which will foster a healthy lifestyle and allow us to grow together as a community.  We truly believe that if we can encourage children to be active at an early age, they will lead a healthier lifestyle as adolescents and adults.

The Swanton Recreation Commission Board of Directors and Staff work diligently to offer quality programs throughout the year and we strive to give our community the most positive recreation experience possible.  We provide services to hundreds of adults and youth throughout the year.    

All prospective Board Members to the Commission are nominated by current members, with final approval given by the Town of Swanton Board of Selectmen.  Interested parties should contact the Swanton Recreation Department at (802) 868-2493 or email the Board of Director’s Chair, Betsy Fournier at betsyfournier@yahoo.com.
