Join Naturalist Kurt Valenta and Swanton Recreation on a guided early Spring mornings walk through the Sheldon Woods. This event is for the young and young at heart.

About the Sheldon Woods Donated by the mill to Sheldon School, it is 83 acres of forested land upon which trails for the public and school have been made for recreation, education and simple meditation. From a white pine monoculture to a mixed hardwood forest, multi-use in sugaring, nature curriculum, vernal pool studies as well as having an abundance of fauna and flora, makes this property a gem to wander and explore.

Please dress for the weather and arrive a bit early, as we will begin our walk at 9:00 am sharp. We will be meeting at the Sheldon Nature Center, which is located in the lower parking lot at Sheldon Elementary School.  This is a free event and all are welcome!

We hope to not need them, but we do have snowshoes (in both child and adult sizes) available to borrow.  We just ask that you give us a call (868-2493) by noon on Friday 4/12,  to reserve. We will bring them to the event and have them ready for you.

* Adjustments and discounts will be applied during checkout if applicable. *
